Student Therapist
Welcome—I am glad that you are here. You don’t need to have a reason or have everything figured out to start therapy. Many people come to therapy simply because something feels “off”, they feel stuck, or because they want to understand themselves more clearly. If you have made it here, you may be feeling curious about yourself, and want to better understand how your experiences have shaped how you relate to yourself and others. As a psychotherapist, my aim is to foster that sense of curiosity and help you explore your inner world at a safe and supportive pace.
I work with people navigating a range of concerns, including people-pleasing, life transitions, relationship and friend conflicts, shame, anxiety, depression, and stress. I like to take an integrated approach, often borrowing techniques and knowledge from many different therapy modalities, in order to best meet your needs. Overall, I have a specific interest in exploring the narratives and beliefs we are holding onto that often paint how we see ourselves and others, the relationship between mind and body, and examining internal experiences with a compassionate and non-judgmental lens.
I practice from an anti-oppressive, harm-reduction, and culturally responsive lens. As someone who identifies as queer, I understand the experience of navigating the world while feeling “different”. My aim as a psychotherapist is to provide you with an empathetic and non-judgmental space for you to safely explore your inner experiences.
If you feel like this is a time in your life where you want to try therapy out for the first time, or come back to it after a break, and you also feel aligned with my approach, I'd be delighted to hear from you. We can start off by meeting for an initial consultation and go from there.
