ANNE-MARIE (SHE/HER)
Hi! I’m Anne-Marie, a queer-identifying Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
I invite you into a therapeutic space where you’re welcome to show up exactly as you are. Together, we’ll create room to explore new narratives that empower you to take ownership of your story and live more authentically.
My professional background is grounded in disability advocacy, with experience supporting diverse clients across a range of settings—including schools, hospitals, and various Ontario ministries. As a therapist, I work from anti-oppressive, disability justice, and cultural safety frameworks. I approach my work with curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, with a focus on understanding diverse identities and experiences.
My lived experience has been a meaningful part of my path to becoming a psychotherapist. As a non-birth mother in a same-sex parent family, I bring a unique perspective to the complexities of fertility, family-building, and beyond within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The emotional landscape of this journey can be deeply personal and layered. As your therapist, my goal is to hold space where your feelings come first—and where you can feel truly supported and cared for.
I offer support in a range of areas, including 2SLGBTQIA+ identity exploration, self-compassion and acceptance, personal growth, life transitions, disability experiences, perinatal mental health, fertility, academic and career challenges, and navigating relationships and peer dynamics. In our work together, you’ll find a space that respects your dignity, fosters belonging, and meets your unique needs. I’m dedicated to making therapy accessible and will adapt my approach to ensure you feel fully supported.
My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, grounded in relational and humanistic principles. As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of techniques and ideas, adapting them to fit your unique needs and goals. Our sessions are collaborative, and together we’ll tailor the therapy to what feels most effective for you.
I look forward to learning more about you, discovering your strengths, and supporting you on this journey. I appreciate you taking the time to consider what therapy can offer you. If something here resonates, I’d be happy to connect. Please email me to schedule a free consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
